Introducing Susan

Eler Beth has outgrown her bike, so we took her to get a new one a few days ago.  It should last her a couple of years.  Last year we got her one with one handle brake; this one has both handle brakes and a coaster brake.  She also got a new helmet and elbow and knee pads.  I hadn't realized how much she had outgrown her other helmet!

Her old bike was named Lulu, and I was wondering what she would name her new one.  It is to be called "Susan".  I  don't know where she comes up with the names for her possessions, but she always comes up with good ones."Susan" is purplish-blue with some red-violet thrown in, a very pretty, snazzy, cushiony seat, purple and red-violet streamers on the handles and moon-shaped decorations on the spokes, all different colors.  She is very proud of it.  Thomas just noticed this evening that the price tag was still on it!  I said we should call it "Minnie Pearl", but Eler Beth said, "No, it's name is Susan."

Sounds like a pretty spiffiy bike. I have the old old fashioned kind, no hand brakes. When I ride in the neighborhood all the kids stare. LOL  Paula
