Have you ever had a dream where you are trying to get somewhere and it feels like you are slogging through molasses?
Or walking there on your knees?
Or perhaps you make a wrong turn and no matter how hard you try you can't get back on the right track?
Or a street you KNOW is the one you want to take suddenly has a different name?
Or you pull out your cell phone to call someone to come get you or give you directions and the numbers on your cell phone keep changing around on you?
Or even though you're sure you've dialed the right number you never get the person you're calling?
Or your cell has suddenly started doing crazy things, so you find a pay phone, and then ITS numbers keep switching around?
Or you finally get somewhere you want to go and you suddenly realize you have a dog on a leash with you, and not only have no idea how he got there, but you can't go in because he's with you?
Or all of the above?!?
Oh yeah, and there was that statue that you just HAD to climb over to get to the street sign, even though you really could have just gone around it!
Yeah. That's what I went through early this morning.
I wonder what goal I'm worried about reaching to make me have such an exhausting and frustrating dream?
Maybe it was a fever dream.
Or maybe it was the Thera-Flu I took last night?
*For anyone who may have noticed: I corrected the word "ITS" above, taking out the superfluous apostrophe. I'm sorry about that to anyone who cares. Blame it on the fever.

Sounds like the Thera Flu was really kicking in!! It's been hard to get any peaceful rest over here the past few weeks too. Dreams and restless nights of late here too. Hugs!!!!

my recurring nightmare is that I have to drive on one of those weird roller coaster things like in the Dr Suess books and I keep being blinded by the sunshade!
Iknow you must be exhausted after that night!
Marti
Yep, get that when not well. Hope you get better soon, Lori
Blame it on holiday stress and Thera-Flu. My worst dream is being locked in a strange house with my ex (the one who used to beat me). I kept trying to find my way out of the house but couldn't. I kept thinking I needed to get to Doc, he was going to be angry I was here and I didn't want to be. Strange, weird, frightening all at the same time. (Hugs) Indigo
Oh no... poor you!!! Feel better!!!
be well,
Dawn

Sounds like a fever dream to me! Glad you enjoyed the cyber-soup and hope you're feeling better soon.
By the way, don't feel bad about a superfluous apostrophe, Sunday night I sent my daughter an email telling her the Miami Dlophins finally won a game and I actually wrote "Dolphins one a game." -- I felt like a total idiot! Still can't believe I made a mistake like that ::shaking head::
Martha :-)
I can never walk or run in my dreams and doors won't lock either....
Feel better...
Linda :)
How frustrating, yet funny! LOL! I do wonder what is buried in your brain that you are not consciously acknowledging...a journey of some kind, no doubt...hope you resolve it or you're never going to get any good rest! LOL! J
There is nothing worse than having a bad dream to unsettle you. I hope you get a better sleep tonight. Try a wee dram to warm the cockles and ease the stress. Thank You for your kind comment you posted for me. Everyone has been so kind. Pam xx
I have a house in my dreams that is our house, but doens't look like it. Strange things happen there. - Barbara
Dearest Lori,
I hope you will be feeling better soon!
And many tanks for your wonderful comments in my blog!

Damn!!!
I want dreams like that.....sounds better than any movie I've seen lately.
Seriously, perhaps you are under a bit too much stress....try to take it easier this Christmas...and if that doesn't work....take up writing novels.

I am glad you took out that apostrophe because that is one of my pet peeves. I think why don't people sound it out? I notice that more people make that mistake. As for your dream, it sounds like one hell of a struggle you had I am curious to see what you decide you were trying to do. I think peopole interpret their own dreams best. But that was a lot of struggle involved for one dream! Gerry
Hi! It's been awhile since I lurked here, but enjoy your entries just the same. The dream I really hate is the one where you are sitting on a toilet in the middle of a very busy room (usually my office). What the heck does that mean?! LOL MeMeadow
I have those dreams all to often...I am trying to get back home and suddenly I'm in a place I have never seen before. And I have to climb down things...or barely fit into a hole that I'm trying to get home through. I really hate those dreams they are so annoying...I wake up exhausted....June
