Another Year, Another Science Fair

Anyone out there have any interesting ideas for a good science fair experiment/presentation for a fourth-grader?

After about seven years of coming up with stuff for Andrew and four years (including kindergarten) for Eler Beth, we're about out of ideas!!  I sure would love to help her do something different this year.  Anyone have any interesting or unique suggestions?.....  Anyone?.....  Anyone?.....

Personally, I don't have a clue.  I'd go look around on AOL School and see if I could get an idea.  Or thumb through his science book.  Prisims?  Lasers?  Sorry I'm no help.  :o( - Barbara

Don't have any ideas for a science experiment but I saw the cutest thing on TV yesterday for kids to do. They had all made a parade float from a shoe box completely decorated and then they had their own little parade down  a sidewalk with their moms watching from the sideline. Paula

We did a good one that was really easy and won first place! Store bags of popcorn kernals - one in the pantry, one in the freezer and one out in the sun. Get an air popcorn maker (they are only about $14. and make much healthier popcorn than the micro kind!). Pop 3 batches of each and record the results -- which pops better?. Make graphs, take photos and all that science fair stuff to go on the board. Bring in a few large garbage bags of popcorn for display and eating! I found it on the net so I'm sure you can search for popcorn science fair projects and find the details again. Martha :-)
