Good Morning! I should say Good "Rainy" Morning; at least in Kentuckiana!
Yesterday was very humid; I think the high was 88 degrees, but the heat index was close to 100 degrees. Then yesterday evening the thunder and lightening rolled in. It rained off and on for a while; I woke at 2 a.m. to hear the most glorious rolling thunder -- heaven to sleep to! But then right after I took Eler Beth to school it started pouring down! I passed a group of four middle-school kids huddled under one big umbrella at a bus stop, and they were still getting soaked. I was tempted to stop and say, "Jump in, and I'll wait here until your bus comes." But, you know, you just can't do that anymore, unless you know the kids. I didn't know them or their parents. I know that sounds horrible, but you just can't be too careful these days. So I passed on by, hoping their bus wouldn't be too long getting there.
I think it's going to rain most of the day, so a nice nap just might be in order. But first I have a little baking to do this morning. Thomas requested another blackberry cobbler, and I promised a pumpkin cake to a girl I know, so I figured today would be a good day to bake it, since I'd have the oven on anyway. I'll be back off and on, catching up on some journals and commenting.
Have a nice Monday!

Have a good rainy day lol Lori, and don't sleep your day away :-)
Oh my goodness, I know what you mean....it has been raining here in Fl. relentlessly. Mostly afternoon and evening though almost every day. Hope it clears up for you to pick up your daughter today. And those poor kids but no, you can't even talk to strange kids without being accused of something bad. Hugs and GBU, Shelly
I couldn't tell if you were being sarcastic or not .. hehe!... you mean you liked the thunder? I can NEVER sleep if it is thundering!! LOL
Yeah, it is so sad the day we live in. We've had to compress our hospitality for legal reasons. It's just awful! And as soon as someone is kind or does something nice, we automatically wonder what his or her angle is. :o(

You're right, have to be SO careful these days. Too bad isn't it? ::sigh::
Send over a big slice of that blackberry cobbler! Yum!!
Martha :-)
It's sad that we live in a world where we can't help out a child.
But then again, I think it's sad that a teacher (me) can get called a MF and nothing is done about it.
Go figure.
