My daughter is staggering around the living room!
She hasn't been drinking (unless you count Capri Sun); she is modeling her new backpack, chock full of all those new school supplies, including three big boxes of Puffs.
She took a long time picking out just the right backpack, and I think she has made a good selection. All the compartments are very deep, and I think she'll be able to fit all those books into it. But, good grief, she doesn't even have any books in it right now, and she was struggling and staggering to get it onto her back!
How many pounds do your kids carry to school and back?

Got no kids of my own, Lori, but when I went to school I had a bag I had to carry by a handle and tie to the panniers on my pushbike &c. Weight? Probably about 20 lb.
LOL!! My kids were just doing the same thing. They are all packed up and ready to go for Monday! -- My guess during the year with the books, 30-35 pounds!
My two cents worth is--- I think it is too much weight for kids to be packing around. A few years ago my grandson had his on his back and was pulling a drum behind him going up icy steps. He slipped, fell and broke his collar bone. Paula
I weighed my son's one time when he was a freshman; 27 pounds! Of course he carried all his books in there and never used his locker so what do you expect.
betty
Too many! Jae
