Spring came back to us today. We had a gloriously beautiful day here in Southern Indiana, with sunshine, mild temperatures and a nice breeze. But what a horrible tragedy this morning for Virginia Tech and the families of those students and faculty members who were killed or injured. My thoughts and prayers go out to the community.
I also can't help but remember that today is the one-year anniversary of a loss for J-Land; one year ago Pam lost her fight with lung cancer. My thoughts are with her family today as well, especially her son and daughter.

I had no idea about the shootings until late this evening when I came online. We had spent the day off the computer and away from the TV. And I never knew Pam, but she must have been very special as much as she was loved throughout J-land. - Barbara
That was definately a tragedy in Va. I never got to read Pam's journal, but I have seen good things about her in my short time journaling. We had a beautiful day as well!! Hope tomorrow is just as good.

Yes, Barbara and Carrie, she was! She was very funny and intelligent and warm, and even when she got sick her upbeat spirit and sense of humor were so touching and engaging.

Yes I remember Pam and she was quite a wonderful person. Her journal directory was so helpful too. Paula
Oh my, it's been a year? Seems like there are always several in J-land fighting the "big C". I keep them in my thoughts. We had an idyllic day here also. Hard to believe on such a perfect day, some nutcase would end so many young lives.
I can't get over how time has gone by...yes, prayers for Pam's family and friends...she was a beautiful person...hugs and love,
Joyce

The events down in Virginia are beyond comprehension, Lori.
I'll pop over to Pam's old journal just now.
Amen to your thoughts. I think of Pierre who died of lung cancer now going on 3 years. Seems like yesterday. I took care of him in his apt. He wanted to die at home. Gerry
Sunshine and sadness....that says it all.
