Another Pink Ribbon

Yesterday Robin Roberts announced on Good Morning America that she has breast cancer.

"That very night when I went to bed, I did a self breast exam and found something that women everywhere fear: I found a lump."  -- read the rest of the letter she read on-air.

Her prognosis is good, in part because she detected the lump during a self-exam -- Early detection!  Do a monthly self-exam ladies, and schedule those mammograms.  Please!

Thank you Donna for the wonderful graphic above!

I'm so glad she found it early. Yes monthly self exams are so important. I have it on my sidebar after Jeannette came down with breast ca & me with uterine ca thi year.
Hope all goes well for her.

This past year I had my own scare. Right now it's not cancerous, yet they want to keep an eye on it for any possible developments. I went and had my very first mammogram during all this. I know this feeling and fear well. I was one of the lucky ones the lump over time seems to be slowly shrinking (ever so slowly). I keep this same tag on my sidebar. Thank you for posting this. Watching Kim's own struggle with her Cancer is what made me aware and take care of myself. (Hugs) Indigo
