We've been having some hearing problems today.
I saw Eler Beth standing in my desk chair and reaching up to the cork board on the wall.
"What are you doing?" I asked.
I heard her say, "Something bad."
"Something bad!"
She actually had said, "Putting something back."
Later . . .
I said, "I'm running out of places to put things."
Eler Beth asked, "WHERE are you going??"
She had heard, "I'm running out to 'Places and Things'."

Sounds like some of the conversations around here but one thing I will say they always rhyme. lol Oh the joys of getting older. Paula
That's funny! But at my house someone might have actually said "something bad!". My kids tell on themselves all the time!

Sounds like some conversations hubby and I have. :) Like the time about the Boost that I thought he said Moose and I could not figure out why a moose was in the back. :)
Paul and I have this problem all the time. It makes for some humor moments for him and my daughter...in my defense when your lip reading alot of words have similiar sounds and formations of how they are said (winks)...(Hugs)Indigo
Thes remind me of when I was working to Revlon and I said to one of my co workers whose hearing did not seem so keen like mine, "I wonder who would win you or me in a most hearing loss contest?" She replied, "You say you are moving to Alaska?" We all started laughing and I said, "You win." Gerry
We just got a 'Places and Things' here. It anchors the strip mall with Bed, Bath, and Beyond.
