This little guy was sitting on a post at the riverfront this afternoon.
Eler Beth and I had to stop by to see Thomas at work for a minute, then we drove on down to the overlook. She wanted to get some video of herself saying "hello" to J-land. I think she's going to post it in her journal today. You won't see me in it, but you'll hear my voice.
This is the amphitheater in Jeffersonville. They really did a good job with it. They have concerts there every Friday night, and they've had some plays there on Saturdays.

We got a pic of The Belle of Louisville, making her way down the Ohio River back to her dock, with the Louisville skyline in the background.

Looks like a beautiful day, and a fun one! And it's not even over!
Love the mantis. Once, my parents, Ken, and I watched a mantis on one of their shrubs as she snatched a bee out of the air, and proceeded to eat it, headfirst. The four of us were standing around that bush like it was one of the most fascinating things we'd ever seen...which it was! My parents still talk about it!
Enjoy the weekend!

The view in the pictures looks so serene and peaceful. I could use some of that serenity these days. Eler Beth has certainly become a beautiful young lady. I finally got a chance to go and visit her journal. (Hugs)Indigo
I love getting to see different areas near where people live. I need to do this more.

Love the pictures. I know that is a preying mantis but we call them a devil's horse. I don't know why that is what my mama called them. Paula

Great pics of a great summer's day out, Lori.
These pictures bring back good memories. Thanks for posting them. Anne

Seeing a mantis like that is supposed to bring you good luck the rest of the day! They are an amazing insect to watch. The first time my son saw one, he freaked out, came running in the house screaming, scared the crap out of me.
