Eler Beth just asked me for directions to make some hot cocoa. I told her to heat a cup of milk in a pan. Put a heaping teaspoon of cocoa and two teaspoons of sugar in the mug. When the milk is hot pour a little over the cocoa and sugar and mix it well, then pour in the rest of the milk.
She came to me with the can of cocoa and a big serving spoon that was HEAPED with cocoa. I shrieked, "Not that much!"
And she said, "Well, you said a whopping spoonful!"

Doesn't this one belong in the language journal? ;-)
reminds me of when I ask my MIL how to make biscuits like she did.....well....it goes like this....a handful of flour...a bit of lard...a little milk...preferably butter milk....and mix well with hands....make small balls.....cookie sheet...together....LOL..and biscuits fit for a king....LOL...well it might work for her...but it didn't for me....LOL...like you...works for you...but not for Eler Beth LOLOL....have fun....hugs...Ora

lol my directions for my little one would be, put some of the powder in a cup and put it in the microwave for one minute. Ha! Yours seems WAAAAAYYY better. :)
Cute!

LOL! Oh my gosh, that child of yours...
She is so entertaining for all of us! J
I've been visiting some journals of people who were kind during my "weepy" entry :-). Thank you.
As for heaping, shoot, I would be guilty of that serving spoon also, but because I love that chocolate taste. I cheat & buy a sugar free instant, but it sure does not taste the same.
