Just A Brief Pop In

I just thought I'd pop in to say "hello".  I don't really have anything interesting or scintillating to write about, though.  My cold is getting much better.  It wants to hang on, as they tend to do this time of year.

Yesterday morning Eler Beth got up with a fever of 101°, but after some Motrin and juice her temp went down and stayed down.  So she and I stayed home again yesterday morning, and she rested all afternoon; missed her play date at her cousins' house.  But she got to go to the skating party this evening, and that's what she really didn't want to miss.  We suspended lessons for today.  I needed the day to get organized for the week anyway.  Tomorrow we start back in for real.

It is snowing a bit here, but nothing is accumulating.  It is bitterly cold, though, because of the wind.  I'd rather it be cold than unseasonably warm anyway.  Maybe we'd all get better then.

I am still catching up with journals.  I have re-organized the way I read them, so maybe that'll help me get caught up.  I hope everyone is having a great week with no severe weather in your neighborhood.

Oh yes, thank you to all who complimented my stint as Journals Editor.  I really did enjoy doing the picks, but it is hard to choose just a few.  Maybe I should highlight a few each month on my own.  That could be fun.  I think Dawn (Carpe Diem) is Editor next week, and I look forward to seeing her picks.

I hope I have something a little more interesting or funny to write about later this week!

Take care of yourself and the kiddos and keep warm, but I guess if you have a fever, you don't have to worry about that!   Anne

It's TOO cold here!  I have cabin fever.  I thought I was coming down with a cold yesterday, sniffling and sneezing.  This morning, though, I feel fine (knock on wood).

Hope the cold has gone ... and you are in fine order today!

Some times quiet is good, it means there isn't anything bad going on!  Glad to hear the cold is coming along, poor Eler Beth...I hope she is feeling better.  Although I am not fond of cold weather I think we do need it to kill the germs & insects that are still hanging on due to the warmer weather.  Hope everyone starts feeling better.

Yes, I am editor for this Friday!  My cold flared up worse again too... ack.  It does need to be cold out in January... it is the way it should be and it kills the germs!  I hope Eler Beth and you are the way well soon!

be well,
Dawn

Glad to hear your feeling better hon. I swear if Doc gives me one more Vitamin C horse tablet to chew on, he's wearing it one way or another. I have my Dragon's Eye Tea and I'm hiding from him amongst the computer.....It's been snowing on and off here as well but hasn't stuck either. Wish it would, if it's going to snow the least it can do is stick around and give the pup and I a snow day. Oh yeah, I would be out there with her sick and all (maybe that's why I'm not getting any better). (Hugs) Indigo

Hope Elerbeth feels better today!!!  We had some snow over here too but nothing much.  About an inch and a half but it is almost gone now.  Still cold and frosty outside though.   Many hugs,

Hope you all shake those winter bugs soon.  We don't have to be brilliant all the time, right now things are quiet in my neck of the woods, so the journal entries are a bit on the boring side, but it's the keeping in touch that counts for me.

They're still doing Journals Guest Editor?  And you were it?!  Where the heck have I been....  Talk about needing to reorganize!

I hope Eler Beth is continuing to feel better and that she's returned to her regular activities.  I now how hard it is, to watch our young ones feeling awful.  We want to trade places!

Enjoy the rest of your week!

I'm sorry to hear you have a cold...they are so very annoying. And I think everything that you write is interesting....I just love to hear about families and what's going on in their lives. We got some snow here yesterday...not a lot though. Today the sun is out but it is very windy...I hope you get to feeling better very soon....June:)

I wouldn't mind a bit of snow. All we get is rain.
