Thank you Donna for the lovely graphics.
Today is a gorgeous day! There is a brisk wind blowing, but the sun is having a wonderful time shining on us, and the temps are topping off in the 50s. Eler Beth, who is feeling much better today, and I have taken a nice walk through the neighborhood, and I even have some clothes drying on the line.
I want to thank everyone who took the time to send me a recipe or a suggestion, and also those who sympathised and said they were in the same boat! I got some really good recipes from you that I'm going to be trying. What I really like about the ideas that were given to me is that they are all simple and basic things, just with a different twist on them -- different to me, that is! And that's just what I was looking for. Of course, I'm still ready and willing to receive more ... {hint, hint}
I really enjoyed my walk with my girl. All along our route, dogs in their yards would run up to their fences, wagging their tails and grinning at Eler Beth. She'd go over to them, pat their heads, reach in the pocket of her jacket and pull out a piece of a dog treat! I love it! I knew she carried dog treats with her, but I had no idea just how widely popular she'd become! At one house, a cat, sunning itself on its porch, jumped down to run to Eler Beth and twine around her legs. She was able to tell me the cat's name and age, all about the other cat that lived there and about the owners -- who had told her to stop and play with their cats anytime she wanted!
We passed a couple of people who were out walking their dogs, and they greeted Eler Beth by name (the people, not the dogs), and the dogs obviously knew her and expected a treat as well. I am always very entertained when I walk through the neighborhood with Eler Beth.
I have a window open to hopefully blow away some of the winter germs, winter blahs, and winter blues. Can you tell I'm feeling good today?!
P. S. Now we need to spend a little time this afternoon with our own dogs!

awwww...I used to do that, too! Carry dog treats in my pocket for the neighborhood dogs... :-D
It's kind of humid and muggy here today, but the rain clouds are just floating around. Good grief, rain already! Heh....

It's nice when Sprinf shows her face, just makes you feel good inside, Elerbeth seems like a popular young lady knowing everybody in the neighbourhood, its a pity it's not like that everywhere, if more people invested in their communities life would be so much the better. Your welcome to the recipes have fun
Enjoy the rest of your weekend

After an overnight low a couple of days ago down in the 30's, we're enjoying a sunny day today headed for a high in the lower 70's. - Barbara

Your wee treasure Eler Beth Is so kind. What a lovely Idea, taking dog treats on her walk. Just goes to show how sweet someone is when the animals show their appreciation. Love Pam xx
Almost 70 here today, and we got a nice motorcycle ride in.
Eler Beth will go far in this world with her sweet and friendly personality. Paula
I would love to have those temps here. We have yet another snow storm tonight here in NY. I swear I'm so over winter already. Eler Beth has the sweetest personality. (Hugs) Indigo

Sounds like a wonderful walk~!

your story about walking with Eler Beth greeting her dog friends reminds me of my daughter Ronda who was fascinated with this huge St. Bernard that used to walk around the small town where we lived. She was only five but she always wanted to talk to him. He made me nervous so I would always caution her to keep her distance. One day we were in the grocery store and I pointed out to her the man who I had been told was the dog's owner. Later the owner, a fairly young man came up to me and said that my daughter really tickled him. She came up to him in the store and said, "Hi, mister, I am a friend of your dog's!" Eler Beth sounds like a very endearing child. Gerry
hmmmmmmm lemme think , i just went to the grocery store, and heres my personal res. for spagetti.
i get two glass things of ragu with different flavors, a small thing of hamburger meat, peperonies and frozen meat balls, and mix it all up and just have the regular spagetti then the next night i take the left overs and getthose different color pastas, cook them and put htem in a bakeware, and put the spagetti sauce over top of it, and load it down iwth different cheeses, and bake it .
lol.
I hope we can look forward weather like that soon. Here, the snow we weren't supposed to get left a 3" ghost layer on my car, so the lion roared with his jokes. Today we had our high of 40 degrees at midnight and it's all downhill from there with everything from rain, freezing rain, sleet, snow and winds, with the temps dropping to about 20 tonight. Have a great walk and enjoy that weather.
Smiles, Leigh

It seems to me that Eler Beth has more kindness than most adults... and more common sense than I could ever imagine possessing at that age!
I am constantly amazed at her grace. Oh, I would even consider having a daughter if I thought she would turn out like Eler Beth! (I know, its not really my choice!) lol
God bless-
Amanda
She is such a beautiful child I can't wait for spring
