Actually the mood I wanted to choose was "disgruntled".
So, apparently AOL is shutting down journals on November 1st. They have a migration plan to migrate (copy) us over to (probably) Blogger. But we should take precautions and start copying our journals to our own hard drive (or other blog spot) ourselves, just in case.

I just don't really know what to say. My daughter is very distraught. She just started journaling and is having a lot of fun with it.
I really DON'T like change, but I will deal with it. Vish and Guido have taken the lead in making sure we know how to save our pics and in getting correct information out to us. I keep all my pictures and graphics at Photobucket right now anyway, so I don't have to worry about moving them. I don't know where Eler Beth and I will go right now. If AOL does migrate everyone over to Blogger, then that's probably where we'll stay for a while, at least. But I may just start playing around with Blogspot or some other place right now to decide. I can tell you this for sure: I will keep in touch with everyone I am usually in touch with in J-Land, and they will know where to find me, and I will know where to find them. We won't have the same type of community we had here, so we're just going to have to re-construct a community as closely resembling J-Land as we can somewhere else.
As we do this, we need to ask for help from others when we have trouble saving or moving something, and if we find that we actually know what we are doing, then we need to share our knowledge and talents with others in J-Land. Magic Smoke is the logical place for all of this, so if you aren't a regular reader of it, I'd suggest you become one.
Please, please, please, if any of you decide to leave AOL completely, then please let your readers (me!) know what your new screenname/email address is.
I'll post a link to my new home as soon as I know what it is. (!!)

I am not being a smart butt but Blogger is Blogspot. I hate this is happening, but they did not even look twice when the majority of Aol-J-Land left in 2005. Take a look at mine www.contrarywoman.blogspot.com it's not too bad and when I just checked to make certain blogspot was blogger I saw that it's very easy to keep up with jnls., they have a new tool that works like alerts. It is not so bad, it's actually fabulous with all the bells and whistles. It will be up to everyone at J-land to keep up with each other. That is kind of what happened in 05, everyone just kind of faded away. The private jnl thing did not help much. I wonder where some great people enede up like Jersy Girl?
well I will be checking and changing it all next week after we get back from Pennsylvania....I have my pics in picture file...and stored with aol...so don't think I will mess up there too badly LOL....as for the journal I have now...nuttin in there to really keep...just same o same o stuff day to day...so maybe I will start anew on Blogger...or Blogspot....or???? LOL...hang with me gang....hugs all around...Ora in KY

good luck Lori and Eler Beth :) its been a pleasure following both of your journals; I'm taking this as a sign to get out of journaling; I liked AOL over the other journal places; realizing how much time I spend online, time to cut back and this seems like the time to do it :)

Yes, this is a darn poop! (That's what my son would

He tries to be sophisticated now, so I like to embarrass

I just found out myself.
I am not happy with this either. I am not good with changing. I love it here. It has been a big part of my life for the last couple of years. I guess i will have to adjust like everyone else....hugs, Christine
